Come on guys, all of you saying the Vista is for $99, remember... that is the "upgrade" not the full install. where as osx is a complete full install. plus vista is suppose to be coming in 6 different version, i read something about that at here (http://www.theinquirer.net).

I think every laptop ever made has battery issues. I'm about to get my third for my Rev. B 12" PowerBook if neither of my old ones is covered under this recall.

Well put. What makes Apple richest isn't necessarily best for users or developers.
A question for Apple defenders: the quality of applications and security from malware would greatly increase if Apple starting gatekeeping everything that could run on your Mac. Are you in favor of them starting such a policy? If not, why is that different from the iPhone?

No hardware in WWDC '11?
Apple always said they are about Software and Hardware, well then it wouldn't make sense for them to omit hardware from the conference.
So i'm predicting...
A completely revamped iOS, named iOS 5
Mac OS X Lion, the best OS yet.
A completely revamped MobileMe, a lot of free features but more space requires cheaper annual payments.
Additional cloud-like services nobody thought of.
Why does this sound like everything that might be shown? Or am i missing something?
i was hoping they would show off the iPhone 5 alongside iOS 5, and new iMacs for Mac OS X Lion, but i guess that won't be happening..

All the stores (Walmart,Target, Best Buy) in Minot ND have Good stock of iPad 2's 3+ of each model in most cases and it has been that way for a week or 2 now.
Are you sure those aren't iPad 1's ? The Target online inventory website is showing no iPad 2's at any of the three stores in that area.

if they're not too pricey i might have to update, although they're gonna have to have more power than the II's, there's a piddly amount of wattage in the sub.

Hopefully it will come out within a fortnight otherwise it will be a long wait to MWSF :( I envisage just increased HD and possibly 1GB ram standard if it comes out within the fortnight. But if the C2D Macbook comes out MWSF there better be some decent upgrades! Maybe dedicated graphics card or at least the X3000.

I think they'll keep the Classic around until the iPod Touch exceeds 100GB. And I'm guessing that will happen in September.

They don't even have most of these in the stores and want you to order online.

that is a load. First off the original ipad is hardly 'old tech'. It is still very usable by the right folks. Say little kids that want to play games, granny that just wants it for email, the whole "teach for america" thing.
'Old tech' would be trying to sell a G4 with a PPC processor in the now every entrenched Intel age. There's pretty much no 3rd software supporting it, Mac OS 10.5 is the highest you can take that, etc
I know that the first iPad is not "old tech"; but was a light hearted exchange about selling the old iPad to my BF who is thinking about the iPad....

Why is he blaming it on us? Its "ultimate"ly his decision to use and post what information was given to him. He's the one that needs to decipher between good and bad tips. Not to just take anything anyone says as fact and then publish on his website.

The old testament, in this case Deuteronomy, does not stand alone, but is correctly interpreted in light of the new testament and the fulfillment of the law that Christ accomplished through the incarnation and his death.
God gave the law in the old testament to serve a specific purpose at a specific time to a specific people. From a theological stand point it's purpose was to show that no amount of work or good behavior can bring one to God. The law serves to highlight our separation from God in that none of us can measure up. The wages of sin are death and thus under the law death was the punishment. Under the new covenant Christ's death has paid the price of sin and we no longer need to live under the law.
Where does this guidance come from? Who says the Bible must be interpreted in that way? It seems in a book as complex as the Bible there must be 100s of ways to view it.
So you see, you are guilty of doing what it is you are saying that others are doing. You are picking/choosing a verse out of the old testament and presenting it as if it was a universal command to all believers for all time.
I'm not suggesting the Bible is bad, nor am I suggesting it is good. I'm saying that the Bible is neutral- it can be interpreted in a way that leads to kindness and charity or in a way that leads to hatred and intolerance.
I don't know statistics on this, but I'm very confident that the majority of Christians are "good" people. However, there are some "bad" ones as well. The Westboro Baptist Church comes to mind! Whilst the WBC holds a despicable view, who is to say their interpretation is less well founded?
I'm suggesting that people don't get their morals from the Bible, instead people choose to interpret their Bibles in the way that best fits their view. I think it is no coincidence that so many religions/philosophies have the same basic elements. (Like don't kill, steal, treat others like you would like to be treated...)
Basic human morality is an innate quality- most people are "good" (of course people aren't just good or bad, but you know what I mean!). One of my favourite books is The Selfish Gene (also one of the most important science books in recent history in my opinion) is basically explaining why altruism exists and how it could have evolved. Like I said before, some basic elements of morality has been observed in other primates.
For you to quote Deuteronomy as evidence that the Bible "literally" tells believers today they should stone people is incorrect.
What I'm saying is people interpret the Bible such that they don't have to stone people. Stoning people is immoral by a standard found beyond the Bible.
I don't think we need a structured moral code per se. I don't want argument about how the "Secular Bible" should be interpreted, instead just look at what we, as humans, think is right.

Similar vulnerabilities have also been found in corresponding Windows wireless drivers but the two are demoing the vulnerability on the Mac due to Apple's recent advertising (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/05/20060501211004.shtml) on Mac OS X's security.
The vulnerability has not been described to be "in the wild", and the two have been in touch with Apple, Microsoft and other companies responsible for the drivers.

Try back further than that, they sold the Atari 1200XL back in 1983. They sold Atari and C64 software all the way into the early 90s. But, back in those days, most people considered computers to be hobbyist toys. Hence, that's why Toys 'R' Us sold them. K-mart also sold Atari and Commodore home computers. Ah, those were the golden years of computing.

yes I do ... and I am 100% in support ... I would be more than willing to pay more taxes if Canada increased our spending to bring us more on par with the US.
